Welcome to the website of St. Mary's Jacobite Syrian Soonoro Church, Sharjah - U.A.E. The Divine presence and abundant blessing of the Virgin Mary makes our church acknowledged as  " Marubhoomiyile Manarcadu " .

The presence of the Holy Soonoro is a great blessing to everyone who comes to offer their prayers. Mother Mary does not abandon anyone who comes to her feet, pleading for mercy and blessings. Creating an Altar of peace, a harmony of love at Sharjah was the dream of a few believers of Jacobite Syrian Christian faith at that time.

The inception was simple with a prayer and thanksgiving Qurbono on November 14, 1980 and was later approved as an independent Parish, by the grace of God, by His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East vide bull No.47/81 dated 15th January 1981 and named St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Church. The fortune of entity never revolves around a single person. The success and faith borne growth of this Parish is dedicated to the hundreds and thousands of worshippers, who without hesitation worked in solitude and eternal grace to develop the parish, create in it the magma of belief in His Almighty. We extend our sincere gratitude to our most Holy Father Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas for unstinted and unflinching support and dedicated prayer.
